How can I become a Moderator (Mod) or a staff member? What are the positions available at XboxSolution.com (XBS)?

The best thing you can do if you would like to join the team is to send a private message (PM) to xbox (site administrator). He will then advise you if there any positions available or if help is needed. If we are looking to fill up any positions it will be posted on the site. But asking doesn't hurt...

Super Moderator

Green Haired Xbox Freak (taken at the moment!!!)

How do I 'rank up'? Why do people have different ranks on the forums?

Ranks have been set up to change depending on how many posts a user has. Current ranks go as follows:

Private (Minimum Posts: 0)
Private First Class (Minimum Posts: 30)
Lance Corporal (Minimum Posts: 50)
Corporal (Minimum Posts: 80)
Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 100)
Staff Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 150)
Gunnery Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 200)
Master Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 300)
First Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 400)
Master Gunnery Sergeant (Minimum Posts: 500)

How do I get a signature under my posts?

To do this go to the USER CONTROL PANEL and click on EDIT PROFILE. There you will find a box to type your signature; HTML, vBcode, smilies and the IMG tag are enabled to be used.

Please be aware that to be able to use the IMG tag your image must be hosted at a website, and this website has to allow hotlinking for the image to be able to be seen. You can NOT link from your computer drive. A signature should be like this:

[img ]http://galeon.com/pibe38/Avatars/users_livebeta.gif[/img]
(space at the end of the first IMG tag intended for the example)

NOT: [img]C:\My Documents\MySig.JPG[/img]

Guidelines on how your signature should be are on the forum rules.

How can I get an avatar (image under my user name) to be displayed on the forums?

Ok this is going to take some time, here we go; first be sure you have more than 10 posts. If you have less than 10 you will be able to select an avatar from the uploaded list but won't be able to upload or link your own until you have 10 posts or more.

1.- Go to your USER CONTROL PANEL (Use CP), it's on thenavigation bar, on the upper left of any page on the forums...



2.- Once here, click on the EDIT AVATAR link...



3.- On the EDIT AVATAR page...



4.- Scroll all the way down, you'll find a CUSTOM AVATAR section that will allow you to either upload your custom avatar or link it from the web. After you do this click on SAVE CHANGES and should be all set

I decided to make a post that tells you how to delete your posts when someone that had over 200 posts didn't now how to delete posts!

First, go to the post you want to delete (has to be a post by you) and click the button "Edit"



Then, check the box on the left hand side that says "Delete".

Lastly, go over to the right of that and click the button that says "Delete Now"

You're done! Post deleted.

Posting Images and Signatures
Forum members are allowed to embed images in their messages by linking to an image that exists on another site. In addition to the copyright restrictions mentioned above, users should also refrain from embedding any images of a sexual or offensive nature. If you are uncertain if an image is acceptable or not, please just post a link to the image with a warning that it goes to a page that some may find offensive. Any links to clearly offensive or pornographic materials will be removed immediately at the moderator's discretion. Signatures, and images within signatures should be no more than 4 lines of text, or the relative equivalent if an image. Our administrators will notify you if your image is too large. It is your responsibility to reduce the image size, or we will remove it for you. Continual violations of this may result in your loss of the privilege of using a signature.
