Sammy Studios is proud to unveil two new characters and a weapon from its upcoming Xbox LiveTM Kung-Fu brawler, "Iron Phoenix." The first ever 16-player online fighting game, "Iron Phoenix" brings a new experience to Xbox Live with team combat in massive arenas and a fight system where moves and combos are dictated by weapons. Characters in the game can wield any of the nine ferocious weapons of the "Iron Phoenix," each with its own assortment of attacks ranging from melee strikes and long-range assaults to devastating special moves. The title is planned for release on Xbox® in Holiday 2004 and is not yet rated.
Released today are two new characters from the game's mystical China premise; DeRais, a mysterious northern warrior known for his savage swordplay, and Onitsuka, a lethal but beautiful ninja warrior. Also revealed is another one of the deadly weapons forged from the core of the "Iron Phoenix" meteor: a massive broadsword called the Ash Blade.
