Xbox and Xbox 360 HardwareThe place to discuss how great, or terrible, the Xbox and Xbox 360 hardware is, as well as any hardware related questions and tips.
I have had an Xbox for about 2 year or so. It worked fine up until about a month ago. I know that it is an NTSC machine hooked up to an NTSC Television set. I have tried two different cables plugged into the back of my xbox and they both display in B/W. Any ideas as to why this has stopped working? I am assuming it is a hardware problem. Does anyone know what could be the problem and if it would be cost efficient to get it fixed?
I have called their support and they do not want to help me in regards to their 90day guarantee or something like that. They keep telling me that I should try a different cable even though I explained that I have already tried that.
Anyways, I am just hoping that someone who is familiar with hardware problems would be able to give me an idea of what is wrong.
Try connecting your xbox to a different tv, if you get the problem with another tv, then its with the xbox, and if not, then its a connection problem via the two, or with the tv.
maby ur tvs black and white and u just notised:P seriously now, ive never herd of such a problem, this is hard, maby you should get some new connectors (get gold plated ones) i dought its got anything to do with ur NTSC.
The game you are attempting to play is possibly PAL, this is definatly the case if its the only game doing this. Sometimes PAL games display incorrectly on NTSC machines.
