That's exactly what I was thinking, Cuz I told them it was working great yesterday, so i figured they would think somethings fishy..I guess technically they really couldn't do anything since I already paid for it and what not, but I'll probably do it late next week or somethin just to make sure

My box is pretty much broke, after i got several DRE trying to play Ninja Gaiden, It stopped reading things all together... So im going to send it in..Do I absolutely have to wait for the physical Contract before i try to send it in?? or Can i take a risk and do it asap. Thanks for any help.
Hello, I was searching the internet to see if anyone else had this same problem with ninja gaiden and i saw yours DeadPlasmaCell. I to was having alot of DRE's and I could usually just keep turning my XBOX on and off and it would work, but ever since i played ninja gaiden (about an hour into it) and quit for an hour, then came back to play again it wont read any disc. i tried for hours to get the darn thing workin, tried all of my games and no luck. weird that yours also happened after playing ninja gaiden also. anyho, i called tech support figuring i had to pay around $100 bucks to get it fixed, cause i bought it on release day, only to hear "your still covered under warrenty" so all i have to do is pay for shipping and they'll fix it......guess i lucked out. strange thing is he suggested i erase my ninja gaiden save file and try again, i said i wouldnt because this isnt the first time.

I've read a few posts from here and other sites, from people saying the support team recommended they erase some data files, as they might be currupt or something.. I deleted pretty much all of my files and that didn't work either..

Welcome to XBS Contrabrass!

If you're still under warranty, you shouldn't have to pay ANYTHING! Everything is covered...shipping (both ways) handling, etc.

DPC - Have you called support to pick up your Xbox?

Hello all, actually when i called support he told me to send my xbox to them, he gave me an address, and that all i have to pay for is shipping it to them. i dont remember ever buying a warranty, i got mine the day they came out......hmmm maybe i did and i just cant remember. On the bright side im on my 4th PS2, atleast its not that bad! Whenever my PS2 would stop reading disc's i would just bring it back to wallmart, thay never seemed to check when i bought it. lol i'am rambling, im gonna miss my xbox for these 7 days its the only system i really play. oh well UT2004 will tide me over till then

Yea, I did it a few weeks ago, Everything went smoothly pretty much, I lost all my data on my HDD, but it was nothing major, cuz I deleted a lot of it before i shipped it in. Great Experience

If Contra is still under warranty I dont understand why they're making him pay to ship it there.. I didn't have to pay anything. I did get one Customer Service Rep that seemed pretty cool, big on the small talk, but I was calling to get a Tracking # for the Xbox's shippment back, and he told me that it was already delivered to a local UPS Store and that I had to go pick it up or they would charge $10 to bring it to my house.. so I was like umm...ook. And called back and talked to another guy and he told me He doesn't know why the guy said all that, they use Airborne Express/DHL and that there is no fee or anything for shipping.

Re: Problems with your Xbox? Before you call...

I have been having a problem with my xbox lately. Since the second week of last year christmas ive been having problems. At first it was miner but then it got worse. This is what it does, i turn it on it shuts off , you turn it on again it shuts off. I wait a minite and then turn it back on and it finally works. Well sometimes during a game it shuts off right in the middle of it.Tell me what is wrong please!!1 Oh and it produces to much hot air.

Strange problem.

Anyway, too much hot air. Are you sure you have it in a place where it can get the proper ventilation? Maybe it's getting overheated and therefore something is messing up inside...

*shrugs*

Howdy Xboxgirl ! Welcome to XBS!

Is the light on the front of your Xbox flashing any colors? Follow Rockk's advice and also, check your power cord. Make sure it's pushed all the way in.

Re: Problems with your Xbox? Before you call...

I recently bought Baseball MVP 2004 and it will not play. It has a disc error where it doesn't recognize it. I thought I had a bad disc so I returned it and the second also gives me the same error. The disc isn't dirty or damaged. The X box plays every other game. What should I do? Carl
