I didn't know we got invoices to extend the extended warranty.. How far in advance did you get it??? My ext. warranty expires in August. | You should be getting a friendly reminder from M$ sometime around the end of May, begining of June. (About 2 months in advance)

Nice info Gameman, I Called them up today to buy a 1 year extended warranty, it was only $25 bucks.. The only thing is they said it would probably almost 2 months before I got the actual contract in the mail.. I've never gone about using a warranty before for any kind of repairs or anything.. My box is pretty much broke, after i got several DRE trying to play Ninja Gaiden, It stopped reading things all together... So im going to send it in..Do I absolutely have to wait for the physical Contract before i try to send it in?? or Can i take a risk and do it asap. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. | I can help you there. No, you don't have to wait till you get the physical contract. But also, you need to contact M$ about sending it in as they are the ones who send you all the necessary packing materials to send it to them. All shipping expenses are paid by them; all you do is package it and call FedEx Air to arrange a pick-up. So I don't know what you mean by asking can you take a risk and do it ASAP. You need to contact M$ so they can send you the shipping box. And they'll have your Xbox warranty information in their system. The contract is just for your records.

I didn't know if there was anything special in the contract I needed to wait for. Do i call up the same place I purchased the warranty from or is there a seperate # for the Repair service, Like i said i've never done anything like this before so forgive my noobness And thanks for the quick help so far

If you can, I'd recomend you wait until you get it (the contract) in hand. It does take a while before you actually get it (It took them two weeks to send mine) But, you DON'T HAVE to wait. If you have the ticket number they gave you, that's all you should need. Just call the same number you called to buy the contract & you'll be golden. Good luck & let us know how everything comes out for Ya'!

Unless your Xbox was starting to act up before you called, and then you called them but didn't tell them it was acting up. I would wait a while. So if you bought the warranty yesterday, don't call back the next day saying it's acting up. That's what I mean.
