NHL Hitz Pro

The pervious HITZ games were 3on3 fast paced action packed arcade hockey games that were extremely fun to play. This time around Midway has decided to go in a more sim style direction. Some how midway managed to do all of this with out losing any of its arcade High action game play.

There are a lot of different modes in the game that will keep you entertained for some time to come. The franchise mode is quite interesting, you chose from a number of made up teams, and your job is to get your team into the NHL. Once there you can try to take your team to the playoffs and win the cup. There is also the standard season/ play off mode where you pick a team and play through an NHL season or you can start right at the playoffs. Then there is pick up hockey where you play in an out door location. (Parking lot, out door rink, play ground) witch is fairly fun but not near as good as the regular game.

The only downside to the game I can think of is lack of different arenas. Virtually everywhere you play in the game looks the same with the exception of the pickup hockey, but this is just one little thing that doesn’t really effect the overall performance of the game.

Overall I think NHL hitz pro is a hockey game that every hockey fan should own and midway has done an excellent job at combining fast arcade action with hockey simulation. I GIVE NHL HITZ PRO A 9/10.
