The sequal to the blockbuster hit Soul Caliber, SCII ups the ante for fighting games yet again. With amazing graphics and an expertly made fighting engine, SCII looks like it will be king again for quite a while.
There are five new characters in the game, plus the console exclusive characters for each system. The Xbox controller is a real pain to use, but controller S works better. The Xbox exclusive character, Spawn, is okay to play as but can do some really cheap things like fly and throw fireballs. The music is great, as are the environments, and everything feels perfect. The Weapons Master mode let's you follow a stpryline adventure witrh challenges at each place. You can get hidden characters and money to buy new weapons with. This game is a must have for fighting fans and even some who just want to have a good time.

Summary: Even slightly hard controls can't bring this game down. Buy it now.

I only played this on PS2, didn't do much for me. Great game if your a fighting game maniac I guess, good characters, great graphics, nice feel.. Mortal Kombat still owns all fighters for me though.

I played on Xbox and GCN. Personally i like the GCN verson because, apparentally unlike everyone else in the world, I don't have a problem with the GCn controller. Oh well, to each his own I guess
