connect to XBL at any one time (the first one 'in'). The second would always show connected but have dns problems and ip issues.
We each have gamertag accounts on the respective Xbox's so thought it wouldn't be a problem.
I checked the Router compatibility on http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/conne...terlanding.htm and our router is neither listed as compatible or not compatible but seeing as it works fine with one xbox at a time I'm unconvinced that is the problem.
So a few questions -
Is it possible to connect two Xbox's through the same broadband connection via a router?
If so what router?!
If not is it because they share the same IP address?
Is there a way around it?
Many thanks in advance for any help/advice ....

Many thanks in advance for any help/advice .... | Please post the router you have and we can help more fully. I have 2 Xbox systems running on one router with no problems and may be able to help you, but need more information on your setup. Is it DSL, Cable, etc, who is your ISP, do you have one Xbox in DMZ etc.

Would one listed on the site work?
I notice you are in new jersey - so you know we are in the UK. (if this would be better on another forum let me know!)
It's 2mb broadband and the isp is NTL. not sure if it is cable or DSL?
I have no idea what DMZ is!
not much help, sorry. i wont be at his house until next week to update so if you tell me what we might need to do/buy to make it happen (a new router is not a problem as we are both 30+ and EARN!)

As far as I know however, there is no difference whether you are in the UK, the US, or Africa in terms of connectivity.
I use the D-Link Router, of which I have reviewed here D-Link Router Review, and have no issues connecting or staying online with muliple consoles and PCs running at the same time.
Again, when you get time post the details of your setup and we can help even more.

I decided to see if it indeed had an clout, which lead me to your review. About a week later I purchased this amazing piece of networking hardware and right off the bat I noticed how fast I logged in to Live. It used to take about 15 sec if nothing else connected and about 20 - 25 with my laptop and voip adapter connected. With this router I had all 3 connected and Live was up in 4 SEC!!!
Thanks for the review I definitely wouldn't have purchased it if I hadn't read your article. | All I ask in return is that you continue to visit XBS, and keep us updated.
