Playing live with friends on other consoles...

I have XBOX Live but wish to play Battlefront live with other friends. Deal is that my friend has ps2 live. Is there any way I could play int he same map he is playing in? If so - how?

Xbox Live and Playsation Online are not compatible unfortunately.

Use the Force to persuade your friend to purchase an Xbox!

Xbox Live! is a closed network, which means that without an Xbox, and a valid live account, and certain other things it will deny you access. In addition, I think that the variation in the two versions' programming would prevent this.
