Wireless Networking Adapter

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the xbox wireless networking adapter - i've now had 2 in a space of 9-10 months, both stopped working within months, as its within a year i've managed to just get new replacements, now i'm waiting for the 3rd to be sent to me.

Anyone else have any problems? is it the xbox? getting frustrating considering it cost £60

Re: Wireless Networking Adapter

I'm still using my ORIGINAL Xbox wireless adapter. Yes, the black adapter that looks like a shoe.

Are you talking about the same adapter, or the 360 one?

Anyhoo... mine is working fine *knock on wood*

Well the original Xbox Wireless Adapter (Xbox Wireless Network Adapter MN740) has been long discontinued. You still may be able to find it at some retailers or third party sellers on Amazon.

Depending on what price you find it for, if at all, you may be better off getting the current Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter (Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter).

I went wired, so I'm not using an adapter at the moment. But I always used the original adapter on my Xbox 360 with no issues. This was Pre-NXE though.

There were also some gaming adapters by Linksys and D-Link, but I cannot comment on their reliability.

Re: Wireless Networking Adapter

If you want Wireless N though you have to go third party.

I haven't had any problems using the 360 wireless adapter.
