I've been trying for a month to connect to xbox live. My problem is the dns server, I've called my internet provider and xbox 360 help line, i've have done everything they have said and i still cannot connection to xbox live because of the dns server. My Computer is broken therefore i cannot access it, I need help. I have a wireless router and a non wirelss router. My ip adress is fine, and my internet connection is fine, just cannot connect to xbox live.
Please help and thanks.

Power them all down and wait a few minutes. Turn the modem on first, and let it come online. After that, power the router back up and try to connect when it comes online. Let us know if you are still having issues.

Please help and thanks. | I agree with what Gronar suggested, Can I ask you to post what brand and model the router is and DSL or Cable Modem and the brand and model number? Just to cross check and see if it may be a firmware issue or something like that. Thanks

If the router and modem is not listed you may need to buy something else. It sounds like something in your set-up is not compatible with Xbox live. With any DSL service depending how far out you live the connection may not be strong enough and you may need to contact them for help. You can call Xbox at 1-800-4MY-Xbox and they will go though each item and your DSL service to see if there is any known issues. I know you said you already did this. Good luck

You may need to call your ISP provider for help and to set-up the modem and DSL for gaming. Your not the first person to post about problems when using DSL. If this is an option I would highly suggest you switch to a good cable ISP provider and modem.
Let us know if they can't help but I honestly can't help trouble shoot with you on this any further. I will offer any help though once you contact the DSL company.

Good luck i know that this can be a pain.

You said you have one wired and one wireless? Or do you mean the modem is wired and the router is wireless? Are you connecting to the Internet wirelessly for the Xbox 360? Call your ISP and see if their network is compatible with Xbox Live, if you aren't having issues connecting other devices to the Internet then as stated by Dub and Col that might be the issue.
