I have 2 Xbox consoles and both have a Thomson dvd drive.... I did have another Xbox as well that gave me some grief which also had a Thomson.

Well my dvd one day suddendly burst into flames and it was still on warranty so I called the xbox support line and they asked me to send it to them, they change the dvd drive with the good thomson drive since I was still on warranty.
