What kind of DVD drive your xbox has? - Page 12

philips is better i've had no problems with mine and i use it a lot.

I godda try that Fan thing. IV been having lots of problems which Tony Hawks Underground. Even though I have A Samsung Drive.

Yeah, I got a Philips drive, and I've only got a disc error once back when I played Inside Drive 2003. Haven't got one since.

Iv tried that blowing the fan in the back of the Xbox and it didnt help. I still cant play THUG. Actuall when i put the fan in the back i couldnt get past the first loading screen. And usually I can.

I've got a Phillips, as a result of a long story, however I now get sound on games encoded on dual-layered DVDs (like Gladius) and the console doesn't sound like a tommy gun as opposed to a tommy drive.

I've got a Samsung and haven't had any problems with it so far....(knock on wood). It's only about a year old, but I did purchase the 2 year 'in house' warranty for $30 at Best Buy so if it does mess up I hope it's within another year.

i have a phillips and am getting into LAN's and was wondering since i bought my friends broken thomoson drive xbox,where would be a good place to get a good used or new drive?

Hey guys i have a phillips drive and it only reads certain games i have usually the games ive played least some of the games have scratces on the bottom that work and some have scratches that dont work im really lost here and want to play my games any tips help anything?

You can buy a Samsung drive on ebay pretty cheap. If you have never replaced or worked on a Xbox system before or any other gaming console I suggest you take it to an Electronics shop so they can swap it out and make sure it's installed the right way.
