I dont know if im posting this in the right place but im desperate. ok, so i bought everything or nothing today, tonight i get to the first boss (jaws on the train) and the screen turns black and tells me that my disc is scratched or dirty, long story short i exchanged it for a new one. when i get to the same exact spot on the new disc, i get the same message! did both games come from a bad batch or is my xbox doing something to them? i appreciate the help.

Further to that it may be down to the type of drive your xbox has, there is a known problem with the thomson drives, if you not sure as to what drive you have check this link What kind of DVD drive your xbox has?

If you have got a thompson drive, there's not much that can be done to fix it, you'll find you'll start getting DDE's on certain games, the problem you have is the exact same problem I had with 'enter the matrix', I have a thompson drive too and its dying! You may want to contact xbox support, before you do that check this link! Problems with your Xbox? Before you call...

I have the same problem wijth THUG. It always comes up with that error. And i tried it at least 30 times before i got anothr copy. But it did the same thing. And my friend just got an xbox and it does the same thing. Its weird. An Microsoft or XboxHelp didnt help at all because im in Canada. So im madd. But whatever. Its one game. Theres plenty more good games for the Xbox. Thats what I had to say to myself.

it is possible that the problem is a compatibility issue i guess.i have the same troubles with some games i get, so i pretty much bailed out on my xbox for the past few weeks .it had to be done.i need money for a new xbox so thats what im doing.my advice. . buy a new xbox and transfer ur game sves over with a memory card.im not positive that all those discs were from a bad batch but it is possible.the ppl at microsoft do make mistake. . after all their only human right?or are they DUN DUN DUN(im so hyper right now)but yeah get a ne xbox and if that doesnt work then twisted my nipples and call me. . . .well. . .we'll stop there lol.i hope everything works out for u guys.o adn about ur friend just buying a new xbox. . the unltimate question is. . .did he get a new xbox or one of the old ones that the store still has in stock???the xbox version could make all the difference(from what i remember theres like. .5 or 6 differenet versions. . i have a 1.2 lol) so yeah. . i cant remember how to tell but the serial numbers on the back help alot and the only way to kno for sure is to take the box apart.i get spoken to for talking about it so ill leave the issue alone. . i u wanna kno more email djmyth6669@hotmail.com

i had the same problem...this is what u have to do...this is optional and u will need to open ur xbox...all u need to do is open ur xbox and open the drive and take a q-tip and GENTLY clean the eye...that worked for me

Either it is an extreme coincidence, or there is something wrong with your Xbox (which is most likely the case)...

Very weird? Hmm, maybe a disk cleaner. I know ps2 has a disk cleaner. Maybe you should open up your box or call up xbox maintanence.
