Question elite hardrive copy to another elite harddrive?

I have a problem I am currently using a 360 elite and have a high gamerscore problem is i dont own it, so i am currently about to buy one if this question solves my problem. First can i copy my gamerprofile/score saves etc to another 360 elite, Second if i can how do i do it? also i do not have xbox live so will not be able to recover my gamertag. So if anyone knows a good answer that tells me how to do it please im me or reply to this thread

Copy it to a memory card, then move it to the new 360.

You could setup whatever profile you've been using as an Xbox Live Silver account, then Migrate it to the new xbox, or use Gronar's suggestion of a memory card. Just find the profile on your hard drive and copy it to the card. I remember with the original Xbox you could only have 1 profile per memory card at a time.

We would not tell you it will work if it wouldn't. Most people get a memory card since MS made the Xbox 360 in a way that you either have to move your profile to a memory card or use the gamertag recovery on the dash and that does not always work. I don't understand why you would wonder if it works or not when several members and even staff members told you it would work from first hand knowledge?

Re: elite hardrive copy to another elite harddrive?

this mem. card advice is not helpful even from the staff as i have now found out that the mem. card holds 512mb where as my gamerprofile is 4gb work it out. Im just glad i didnt take your word for it n checked myself. I saved myself alot of money doing so...

Re: elite hardrive copy to another elite harddrive?

Your gamertag is not over 4gb I have taken my gamertag or profile with me loads of time on my 512 MB card I even used the old 64MB card before they had a 512 card. So I do know what I am talking about. I think your looking at something else gamertags are small in size and meant to be loaded onto a memory card when traveling. The only differnce between the way the 360 and the old Xbox handles it is that you don't have a back up on the dard drive when you move it over. Please understand I am not trying to sound like a know it all but we give help based on our own knowledge and doing it. Hope you get it worked out.
