for the first time in a long time, i'm actually looking forward to EA's hockey game this year. 07 looks like its going to be the best hockey game ever. that's saying a lot, but the new controls change everything, and give 07 the fight night controls feel. i love it

on top of the controls, the goalies look friggen AMAZING

. so life like movement and its about time. no more cheap goals like in the past (i hope). i can't get over this. the goalies are just friggen AMAZING!! sept 12, hurry up

it'll live up to the hype. the new controls will do what fight night did for that series, and i think that's what the hockey genre needed. i just felt the last couple years the games where becoming blah, so the change is needed.

hopefully EA will put a demo up before release, that way we can get a crack at these new controls. seems like there's a rather large learning curve based on what i've read. that, and i should have live and high speed by then to try it out (crosses fingers)

downloaded both demoes. it's hard to say which one to get. i really like both, but it's going to take a LOT of time to get used to the new controls in 07. i wish EA would have provided a bit more gameplay as well. for 2k7 one thing i didn't like was that cinemotion, but i could get used to that.

The 2K demo is better, more gameplay, but EA's looks better. I had more fun with the 2K version but that may have only been because of such a limitation on the EA one. I agree, tough call, wish the demos were longer.

I just wish both companies would stop the gimmicks and just worry about a great gameplay and looks. Forget all the fancy stuff. EA still blew it when they fired Don back on 2004 but the game should be good a little hard to get used to. 2K looks again like it will appeal to the die-hard Hockey fans but they need more work on the models. I will say it's going to be hard to choose.
