Re: Nhl 07

I got NHL 07 and 2K7 and so far NHL 2K7 is far the better game. I like EA's but they changed too much in the controls which may confuse players new to the video game version. I also think they could have spent more time on the basics but I am not ready to say more. I would love if EA atleast placed a full instruction book on the game disc like 2K7 I mean 7 pages for a Hockey game

They both offer some cool things but so far as someone that used to play. 2K7 just has a deeper gameplay and alot more options. Any one else play both yet?

Re: Nhl 07

i've played both and completely agree. 2k7's gameplay has so much more depth compared to ea's. although the skill stick is good for ea, 2k's controls just let you do so much more....pro control....drop pass...on the fly coaching...etc

i'd also assume that 2k's franchise has much more depth, but i can't say for sure. but i have my doubts ea's got the depth for the scouting and drafting for new young talent, something i really like doing.

overall, i'd say both games are really good this year. however, there's so much more hockey in 2k7, that i think it's the better game

Re: Nhl 07

I have been playing around with both games and while they both have a decent franchise mode I think 2K7 is far more deeper. I like the training sessions the info and the stats are unreal! NHL 07 seems a little flat and like most of there dynasty modes a bit too simple no training no real in depth challenges. So far I like both and glad that NHL 07 got more real and less arcade like with the run up the ice score and go back but they also left alot out as you said. I will say they both offer some great things. 2K7 has everything and can be adjusted for any skill level. Although the franchise mode helps if you know the sport indepth. Both offer CPU help but the interface in 2K7 just seems a bit more realistic. More in a few days when I review both I want to post them on the same day.
