One of these days I'll go to one of those Ozzfest.
Well yesterday on July 15th, the traveling musical circus came to my home state of Massachusetts and rocked the whole ****in' state. Christ was it ****in' awesome. We didn't get there until about 10:30 then hung out in the parking lot with all the others until the actualy talent started to come on. We got inside the Tweeter Center at about 11:00 when one of my favorite bands, Arch Enemy, had justed set up and started playing on the second stage. Now with no set lists posted when people are goin' on you didn't know where to be. So naturally me and my dad wondered around and missed Arch Enemy playing and the first mosh pit of the day. Luckily, after wandering and then hanging inside the PlayStation 18-wheeler display room! I managed to get into As I Lay Dying's crowd. Along with a nice mosh pit or two from Killswitch Engage, who is from Mass!!! After Killswitch finished rock and horror legend Rob ****ing Zombie came out on stage as we all chanted "Zombie!" with horns held high in the air. Once on stage the mad man got us all moshed up with "Superbeast" then "Living Dead Girl" and finishing with some good ol' White Zombie. During the "Living Dead Girl" mosh pit I myself in some nice fights and got some good blood on my nice white AC/DC shirt. Once the second stage finished, the main stage opened up with In Flames from my native country, Sweden! Starting with "Cloud Connected" off their album "Reroute to Remain" then following with "Pinball Map" and two other off what I think is their new CD "Come Clarity". Then following In Flames was another local band known only as Shadows Fall. Starting with "Destroyer of Senses" and some stuff of "At War Within" like "Enlightened By The Cold" and more. Then with Shadows Fall done, Black ****ing Label Society came on and played for about 20 minutes that started with "Stoned And Drunk" and finished with "Stillborn" and several songs off of "Mafia" their newest CD. At 8:30 p.m. the stage was set for Iron Maiden to come on and rock the set. Playing greatest of their songs, like "Run To The Hills", "The Trooper", "Number Of The Beast", and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" then running off stage leaving everyone wanting more cheering "Maiden! We Want Maiden!" and then doing three more songs and setting the stage for Black Sabbath. Now I'm somewhat of a Sabbath fan but I must say Ozzy just doesn't have that great voice anymore. And aside from that he just wanted people to clap their hands. Frankly, Sabbath should have just done the songs and let the crowd sing to it instead.

Aren't you a bit too young to go to the Ozzfest? I'm sure you probably got your *** kicked in a fight.Originally Posted by Boondock_Saint

LOL, yeah I agree with you dude, the blood on his shirt was prolly his own blood. But about the getting in fights at concerts part, that happens at almost every concert you will ever go to. There are fights breaking out everywhere because people are getting drunk and high and stuff.Originally Posted by Black Eagle

I have been going every year down in SanAntonio, mosh pitts are rowdy but when your drunk its pretty damn fun. as far as fight go, it happens, everyone is amped like you wouldn't believe. the energy alone is worth the price of admission. and fighting is like everything else, you get your cherry busted on your first one and all the others are nothin but gravy, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
I've discoverd quite by accident, that if you poke them in the eyes real fast they can't see to hit you and the fight is over real fast. heh.
nah really, just mind your own ****in bussiness and stay out of others and MOST the time nothing happens.
Boring bands, inhuman ticket prices. NO.
Good seat tickets were only like $45 - $50 bucks so it wasn't that bad. Plus for seeing :
Sabbath
Maiden
Shadows Fall
As I Lay Dying
Rob Zombie
Black Sabbath
Mastodon
Killswitch Engage
The tickets seemed a fair price. S-Pappa you though I was too young? I've been going to concerts since I was 9 when I was AC/DC. That was 6 years ago, now being 15. I think I'm old enough to go to a concert. And I'm good enough to be in a moshpit. All you have to go is keep moving and your all set. The only time I got out of the pit is when the kid who used his cast for moshing came in. And it wasn't my own blood. That was just make me look stupid.

You think Ozzfest is expensive. My mom has spent about 120 bucks on Kenny Chesney concerts since she's seen him 4 times.
