    Toca Race Driver 2 Review

Do you like to race around tracks at unrealistic speeds as fast as you car can and effortlessly take corners while being able to have a sip off your drink. Do you like to through pretend bombs at opponants while driving or do you like to have speed boost hurtling around streets. If the answer is yes then stop reading.......

Toca Race driver 2 is in the category of a simulator and a "real game". The problem of smashing into another car or tapping into the back of another car begining to slide is more painful to you than a loss if hit points. Almost any part of all the cars can become damaged resulting in some problem which can get worse within time.

    Racing life
Like in the previous Toca, TRD2 also allows you to play a single player campaign mode that allows you to play a role in the upcoming races and to compete in championships. Video clips through out the campaign occur with up to scratch realism and movement of characters. These clips give you the willing power to want to complete the next race to see the next clips.

    Split in 2
One part is the single player campaign as above and the other is the simulation mode where you can use cars which have been unlocked from the single player mode. The simulation mode allows you to have the odd race playing on Xbox live. Two skill levels have appeared Normal and Hard, this is because of TRD2 being unforgiving as one slight knock and you could be heading towards dust. As time goes on you will adjust to the feel of each individual car, in the mean time you have the ability to restart the race over and over.

    Cars Cars Cars
TRD2 have given a great selection of cars for different types of races including everything from touring cars to truck racing and TRD2 have took time to change the way each vehicle handles. As for the rally section of the game, it doesnt compete against games which are specified for that feild such as Colin McRae Rally. Damage to the cars will send you to the pits within time depending on how badly it is. This gives you the insentive to drive carefully and yet skillfully.

    Graphics
The graphics for this game are excellent with great reflections and shadows, in fact the sun even reflects off the tar-mac. As you pass by trees the sun shines through producing great shadows along with car shadows as you pass by them.

    Sound
The sound can be custom edited as you can use your own tracks from your Xbox's HDD which is a bonus feature. Also beefy roaring engines scream down the track with great car smashs of wind screens and dents etc.

    Game play
you are even able to set your car up to suit you racing needs from suspention to gear ratio's and car treads. The AI is great too as the cars stick to the racing line unless you proceed to agravate them or the wish to take a position, they may even knock you off the track. But initially its rare that they make mistakes which is a down point as human users and alot more risky.

    Gameplay 8/10
    Sound 10/10
    Graphics 9/10
    Game life 8/10

    Total score 9/10
