Xbox 360; Now from £129.99, Price Drop, save £s!
Welcome to the GAME Update!
This week saw a couple of huge announcements from two of the industry's biggest players.
First, Microsoft revealed that the Xbox 360 will be getting a £30 price drop on each model - meaning you can now get an Xbox 360 Console from £129.99!
Order a cut-price Xbox 360 now! http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid=5789 " Currently the cheapest I can find the Xbox 360 selling for here in the UK is £279.99.
So, does this mean then, that the "Next-Next" Generation Xbox is just around the corner, or could be Microsoft be having trouble selling the the current model?
The former would be nice.

MS still intends on going two more years with the xbox 360 atleast they say they are. I have seen prices as low as $229.99 here in the states for a 20 gig bundle. Since MS is going the route of more DLC and viewable content the 20 gig was no user, We talked about this awhile ago and whoever thought the 20 gig was enough should have been fired very poor choice. I went and took advantage of my BestBuy warranty and got an Elite wish I would have done that sooner.

Course, I've only went through the exchange process 3 times, so I'm not feeing as jaded about it either hehe.
I don't know about the 20 gig, other than it seemed like a good idea at the time. But then they went to changed their strategy with both games and online content, and the 20 giger just wasn't adaptable. Putting out the 60 gig is a good move, now they just need to make sure the accessory 60 gig is actually affordable and they might be in business here.
As for the next xbox,,it better be at least two years. I feel like the 360 has really hit its stride right now, there's always knew games to play, plenty of exclusives in the mix, and I generally always have something I can be doing with it. If they suddenly make it obsolete within the next year, my ps3 will start looking allot more promising as a games console.

The only game I am looking forward to is big little planet. I don't see MS making a change in two years but I would say after that I am almost sure they will once agin try and bring the next console out before anyone else.
