If this is a legit price is it really a shock?
I had said there was no way Sony would be able to release the unit at $399.99 or even $499.99. At that price I hope it comes with gold trim or something
Pretty stupid move on Sony's part but it is posted on Joystic so let's wait till after E3 but it seems legit and also goes with what others have predicted.

the other night i saw soemthing about hddvd and blueray devices facing off and they said the average blueray unit would cost i think from 500 to 1000 where as the hddvd would go from like 200 to 500 or something like that. if that is the case, then
the price would make sense.

this dosn't really surprise me. I think the ps2 was around that price when it was relesed.
