Bards Tale.

I just purchased A Bards Tale and was wondering if anyone else is playing it yet? and If so whats your input?

so far its like Baldurs Gate with some monty python type humor in it.
I'm diggin it! I'm not very far into the game yet but its worth the fiddy bucks for RPG'ers out there.

Looks like it could be good, but I'm not buying another game at the moment with Halo 2 coming out next week. Let us know how it turns out.

Coincidentally I bought this today as well (with some of the credit from all my returned games). It's pretty cool although I'm having trouble with the combat. I'm on that quest to kill the bugbear and I'm not having much fun trying to kill it. First of all it pops out of the walls so unexpectedly that you don't have time to block. Then, when you finally face it in its lair it's worse since I've only been able to get one hit in at a time before he puts this enchantment over you that paralyzes you for a few seconds while it runs away. I don't know.

My initial opinion so far isn't too fond of what I'm going through. But I do like the MP moments of the game (like the first song you hear in the tavern). Those are pretty cool. But I'm not diggin' the combat aspect of the game and can understand what IGN was saying in their review.

Try this:
Hold the left and right triggers
god-right left right left up down up down
full health-left left right right up down up down
money-up up down down left right left right
100+ damage-up down up down left right left right.
to turn off these cheats just enter the dame sequence of buttons again.
I know its a cheat but it makes the game fun because of the frustration level of the combat system

the game sucks its got no story line and all you do in it is walk around getting drunk and thats the story line well its like that and you get gold for some stupid gay *** thing. its a waste of a game its no rpg not a true rpg i think that game should not even be called a rpg because its soo bad.

yeah well the game is horrible don't bother renting it or buying it . everytime i go into rent a game i see that gay *** mother ****en game and whenever i read the back of it it just sounds worse and worse every time.

I was really looking forward to this one, especially with Cary Elwes being involved. But I just couldn't stand the camera, I could never figure out which direction I was going. But to be fair I only played it for about 30 minutes before I shipped it back to GameFly.

ya i hate games with funny cameras.... for me at least, it turns games that would have been truly awesome into a misery
