The Dark Side makes thing easier for several reasons; primarily, better force powers, as well as the fact that more experience and money/equipment is obtained by doing bad things (like killing people for their stuff, etc)...

Plus there's that awesome glitch in the tomb on Korriban, where you can repeatedly kill Hsiss dragons until you reach level 50... and you can regain your Force powers quite quickly while doing this.

If I'm not mistaken, both KOTOR and KOTOR II have at least one glitch each that strongly benefits dark side users - but I've never heard of any light side glitches that are quite as good...

That's because a true Light Side Jedi would never cheat or gain an unfair advantage.

i think its pretty simple overall

lightside (jedi from here on out because its easier to type) makes you work just a little bit harder at everything you do, and requires you to be honest in your dealings

Darkside (Sith or dark jedi will suffice) is easier because the powers are more destructive and is tilted towards greed and selfishness.

ah well, i went the jedi way with both of them, though I did replay KoToR as a sith to get a darker angle on things as well.

if star wars were real... the dark side would win... they have what it takes to do what it takes to win... they are evil because they kill if necessary... jedi's wont kill unless their hand is forced and/or they are attacked.... and yea the light side glitches probably arent there because their isnt as many options of who to kill perhaps? i liked kotor 2... it wasnt a good game.. but i liked the story...

setite, I don't quite follow your reasoning there? Jedi kill only when they have to but the sith can kill whenever they want to? so this ability to just kill anyone and everyone when they want to garruntees them victory? Judging by history being a mass murderer has never won a war before *cough* hitler*cough*.
