I have a feeling that the guy that wrote the review for IGN made a bad estimate for the total playtime to complete Fable. I think you will be able to stretch it out for as long as you wish to play. I mean there is that GTA element to it that makes it possible to play for what would seem like an eternity without actually completing the game.
