Arghhh for the love of God help me fix this already! I got this aweasome but huge **** Roleplaying game called Morrowind Elder scrolls 3 Game of the year edition. To the point,I bought the original Morrowind awhile back & everything worked fine with it,but soon as I bought this game Brand new even. The d@mn Local map on it won't work!!!!!!!!!!! Only the World map works,the local just shows up as a black screen???? Has anyone else had this problem & can it be fixed????

That's an interesting problem. Unfortunately, it has never happened to me. I'm not sure what could be wrong.

explore the black areas.... or return the game and get another copy, it could just be defected

I don't remember having to explore the bkac areas. It's been a long time since I've played though, so I may be wrong.

Only areas you have been to will show up in color and detail. If you haven't been somewhere it will only show up as a black area.

Well,normaly I'd say sure thats a possiblity. BUT! All the area thats black,I've not only been to,but been over a 100 times. I'm level 10 btw,not to high,but still pretty good,I just started playing about 2 weeks ago. But anyways,defective? Thats what I thought at first,but once more I thought of this too, I took it to GameStop where I got it when it first started this non-sense & had them exchange it for another.

Broght it home checked it out...still no map,I even deleted my first file cause I thought it may have been corrupted or something. So I get P.O.ed & take it back a third time this time I made sure it was a brand new version of it,not used or whatever.......

& still....Blackness,all the areas I've been

Thats all I see right there,its a real pain. I mean I don't know what the hecks causing it,can't be my X-box otherwise the first Morrowind I had wouldn't have had a map but it did????? Sooo anyone know a way to fix this heinous prob?

Hmmm, that's odd. it's supposed to start off entirely black and fill in what you've been to.

This game is known for glitches so it doesn't really suprise me. I'd see if you can trade it back for another copy.

Well its realyyyyy annoying me,I mean yeesh the last game that had this many glitchs for me was the Original Fallout 1 & Return to Krondor,D' most glitchest games I ever played,or..errr remember anyways. But it *COULD* be this copy too,maybe I just keep getting Dud games or something,hope its not my save file,I'd realy hate to start over. I mean surrre 10's probley not a high level,but its not that I'd hate to lose. Its all the other stuff I spent hours on building up,those annoyin' Other skills,not the Minor or Major ones,but the ones that usualy start in the 5's that take forever to build. I built all of them to 10 ish at the moment. Be a pain to do that over....esssh!. Anywho

. Thinking about trying a different store this time,go to Circuit City or something,see if I can't get a better copy of the thing. Might just be Gamestops copies or something,hell I dunno. Anyvay's

Well I found out caused the map to dissapear. I had a save file from the Original Morrowind 3 (not Goty) & it was hidden in my X-box memory

& somehow or another it corrupted the files me & my friend made from the last copy of Morrowind Goty I bought? & I was using that corrupted file on my new Morrowind Goty...so I had to go through my X-box memory delete all the saves from it & the original. & I started a new game

.....& there was the missing map!

Annoying as it is to have to start over,at leaste I got a map now. Let this be a reminder should anyone else have this problem.
