Tales of Symphonia to include Tales of Rebirth preview

Preorders for the Japanese PlayStation 2 version of Tales of Symphonia will come with exclusive footage on the next Tales title.

TOKYO--Namco announced today that preordered PlayStation 2 versions of Tales of Symphonia in Japan will come with a preview DVD of the next title in the series. The disc will include an exclusive trailer of Tales of Rebirth and promotional clips and artwork for Tales of Symphonia. The game is slated to hit Japanese stores on September 22 for a price of 7,140 yen ($66).

Tales of Symphonia was originally released on the GameCube in Japan last August. The North American version will be available July 13. Tales of Rebirth is the next installment in Namco's Tales series, and it will be released on the PS2. No release date has been announced yet, however. Yeah, my avatar is Lloyd...the main protagonist of Tales of Symphonia. You could go to tales.namco.com to find out more about the GCN release. The link I provided above is just about the japanese PS2 version...that isn't coming to America. I could also answer questions you may have about the game as well...

Are you going to be able to go on Live with it like a FFXI thing? Can you have a friend play with you like co-op? What's the story line? And are you gonna be able to customize your charatcers? Or is it a set thing you use through the whole game?

LOL, damn...umm Tales of Symphonia, unfortunatly, wont be seeing an Xbox release. As of right now it's only on GCN and coming to PS2.

well thank god i havent sold my ps2 yet. i'm problly gonna pick it up still. i went to tale.namco.com and it didnt give me any info on the game it just told me to pla games and I had a chance to win a gamecube. so what's the story line?

Two worlds exist, unaware of each other. Mana, or life force, is shared by both worlds and while one world thrives, the other suffers.

Lloyd Irving lives on Sylvarant, a dying world where nothing is as it seems - a fact he hasn't yet realized. With a strong set of justice, incredible bravery, and a particular loyalty to his friends, he joins them in a very important quest: a journey to save their world.

Lloyd's close friend, Colette Brunel, is the Chosen One, destined to save the dying world as a descendant of the Mana bloodline. At the age of 16, the weight of the world hangs on her shoulders.

GeNis Sage, the village intellectual, is a talented magician with a personality to die - or kill - for. Most likely, you'll grow to love him.

Together, they set on this dangerous journey together - to unlock the seals of the world and bring the balance back to their dying town on Sylvarant.
