Final Fantasy series

Are they ever going to come out with the Final Fantasy series for Xbox?

But it is on PS2 so why not on Xbox?

That is one of the best role playing games but I only have it for PC.

PS2 needs to retain some exclusives of its own. Think about it... there are probably PS2 owners wondering if they will ever get Halo on a Sony machine.

I'm 100% in agreement!

Really, Microsoft should design a rival to Final Fantasy, in the same way they have created Forza to rival the Gran Turismo series. We shouldn't rely on getting games ported from another machine. We should see Xbox developers looking to beat the competition.

With the way things are looking with the current RPG's MS Game Studios is in development with, I don't see them developing an RPG good enough to rival the FF series.

There are only two Final Fantasy games that were released on the computer. FFVII(7) and Final Fantasy XI(11) and I haven't heard any news of another one being released on the PC.

Gen, while I agree that Square do seem to have it nailed, there must surely be other companies that are able to compete.

Bioware springs to mind with KOTOR, so maybe Jade Empire will also be a success.

yeah i definantly want another rpg for xbox it is much needed it will absolutly have a boom for xbox

While KOTOR was an OK game (I didn't like it much, personally) I don't think that the story or the gameplay was as grasping as the Final Fantasy games. That, and the fact that in a way they were two different types of RPG's. One is open ended and you basically make up how the game plays along. The other is a game that plays out a story. And while there are different answers to questions that can affect the overall outcome it's just a minor change to the gameplay and doesn't stray far from what the main story is. But one person or company for that matter can't stay on top forever, so we'll see. But for right now I still think there isn't anyone that can take the crown right now.

Well personally I think that KOTOR is one of the greatest RPGs ever and it's also the closest FF competitor.
