Lost horse armor

My horse died somehow, I just walked out a cave and my horse literally fell over, I purchased Horse armor and I was wondering If I buy another horse, will the armor I bought come back to use on the different horse?

So far I have stolen a black horse and nothing.

me either,,ijust recently got my horse by doing one of the main questions, and i have to say, I'm mighty pissed that you can't attack anyone from your horse, nor cast magic spells whilst mounted...but hadn't even thought about the horse armor though,,,,did you try to "collect" the armor off of the horse when it died?

yeah I did, I stood around for about 5 minutes trying to see if I could pick it up and nothing.

I'm going to just get 5,000 Gold and buy one of them there fancy black horses and see if my armor will just automatically appear on him. Do you think I can get a smith to make my Horse a Grill?
