Don't know if anyone experienced this or not, but it seems there is a glitch when trying to join the Mages guild. When you talk to Falcor to get his recommendation, and you have to retrieve the ring. Well, if you don't get the ring as soon as you go down there, the dude's corpse will no longer be there later, effectively making it impossible to join the guild.
Of course, I was only level five, but since I wanted to be in the Mages guild and now can't, I have to restart. Boohoo.
hmm,,,i went back down to get all of my weapons and stuff and his body was still there,,but I'd gotten the ring already too, who knows, but the guild is overrated , well for my character at least.
I remember Elder Scrolls 3 occasionally had NPCs and some objects fail to load making the game imbossible. The PC version had a item select thing that overrid that, sadly xbox didn't.
