Final Fantasy XI Beta on the 360 - Page 4

i installed the beta to see what it was like. i wanted to see how the port was. i also wanted to see what a little MMORPG love was like on an xbox360. the experience left me jaded and fearful of the future of mmorpg's on the 360. i also wanted to see what it was people liked about the series. you don't read very well because clearly i stated that i know this is a port. being a port doesn't automatically grant them immunity from any criticism for creating a **** product.... so if you want to know my point. my point is that there is no reason someone should buy this unless they dont have a capable pc or ps2. this game does not utilize the 360 to a far enough extent to justify the 60$usd sticker it will have. that make this recommendation, period. whether I like the game or not, the fact that it is a weak port with little improvement(seems like no improvements at all) remains. your not getting ffxi for the 360 in reality... its more like ffxi for the original xbox with the ability to be played on the 360. Setite & David says 1 thumb up for the concept, 1 thumb down for crap delivery, BRING BACK TFLO DAMNIT
the problem is that there is nothing to differentiate this version from the pc version... nothing. it's a waste of resources and with them releasing the beta, i'm sure the amount of sales they may have garnered from people taking the chance dwindled considerably.

I'll probably play a little more with you, Setite. But alas, it's back to work during the week, and my parents are visiting from AZ this weekend so you might not see me on it for a bit. Also, don't always believe it's me online, I got my stepson living with us for a few months while he gets back on his feet, lol!

Like GeN said, this is a PORT. If you didn't like the FF games before then why the **** did you download the beta and play it? You at least thought for a second that this may just be like FFXI on the PC, *cough*port*cough.

You could have said this a little nicer if anyone reads this they would think you where going back to being a smart (insert the word here) I don't think you need to put someone down for trying a beta game thats why it is a beta and not the final version no?

The only thing seperating this from the PC version is the fact that it's not gonna be as fun. Especially without the two new classes it'll have.

oh, and WoW is bad. That's a childs MMO.

WOW is for children? Okay umm lets see there is over 5 million playing this and if they where to release it on the 360 it would be an instant hit. I find it funny and a bit sad that everything you don't like or agree with is Gay in your words? Do you have a secret like someone else awhile back you wish to announce? Come on GeN you used to post things that sparked conversation and debate now it seems you are just content to slam everything and in the words of Gronar Fail at best at the attempt to be funny

well on to business. WoW. World on Weed. Most annoying game ever. But in reality I'm just mad that my AMD64 3400+ OC'd from 2.2 to 2.75 with pc4000ram(only 512mb), BFG 6800gt, watercooled pc lags to hell when i played it. But I must say that the game isn't bad for an mmorpg. I still hate crafting though. For someone to say a game like WoW is bad is purely opinion because the numbers it puts up prove by majority rule, that the game is good. I must admit though that I would buy WoW360 without hesitation. I would reserve it the first day the preorders are available. I don't know if I can play it though, crafting on a console, blech. So I must say that at least WoW is new enough to play out well on the 360.
