I don't have it. I'm thinking of trying to find it so I can have a MMORPG on the 360, but I'm not sure yet.

well see i bought a 360 because the community and lack of voice communication on pc games drives me nuts... and playing this game reminds me of the pc tooo much... and me and gronar are trying to figure out if there is anyway to have voice... me and him were in a private chat but is there a way to get more people? if not then i hope this game fails... i understand not allowing you to chat to everyone... the CHAOS... but in a team you should be able to chat...

It was a PC game to begin with. What did you expect from a port? Learn to deal with it, 2 million other FFXI players have.

...there probably isn't voice chat because more often than not you're gonna be playing with someone on a PC or PS2...which doesn't support voice chat.

i expected a game that bored me to tears... which i god.. and i also expected a game that utilized the ported system to some degree.... the only thing i see used is the system's automatic antialiazing.... the textures aren't improved... the lighting isnt improved... the sounds arent improved.... it reminds me of the morrowind port for the original xbox... a port so close that you could add the expansion pack files to the game using a modded system and they worked perfectly... i didn't expect that they would waste their time on a port this bad... but i understand that microsoft is simply trying to do something for everyone... and this is a project not meant for the gamer like me who wants to play nextgen material on his nextgen system.... basically i'm saying this port is something that should have been done on the original xbox... hell, it seems that it very well may have been.... but this game showcases the reason they dont make games that span platforms in this way regularly... a simple increase in lighting and textures would be sufficient to satiate me...

don't think for a moment i'm actually disappointed... i have never been impressed with the FF games... so I didn't expect anything special... but I simply didnt expect it to look that bad...

as for voice chat... that is the biggest reason i'm sure.... but the way the 360 handles voice seperate from the game it could still have been implemented..... I voice my disgust mostly because MS should know that this is not the answer to the people's cries for an mmorpg... this simply doesnt do... I still want TFLO to come back... it's so messed up for them to release so much on the game then can it...

its exactly as gronar said... the game is super dated.... also after playing mmo's like WoW and City Of Heroes FFXI's turn-based system is also no fun.
And on that point I agree with you GeN. This port is a sad sad attempt to get FFXI and japanese lovers of the series to come to the 360. But with a game that is already so old, how in the hell do they think that would work. Maybe, and only maybe, if they had attempted to fully utilize the 360 to make the experience jawdroppingly nextgen, and thus breathing life into an old game, they would have had a chance. You know. I always liked Duke Nukem 3d. Microsoft... please port DukeNukem3d... but no, don't make it look better... I want to play it in its mid-90s pixellated glory .

Oh yea... Gronar... do you want to play it some more. And do you know how long the beta will last.

Like GeN said, this is a PORT. If you didn't like the FF games before then why the **** did you download the beta and play it? You at least thought for a second that this may just be like FFXI on the PC, *cough*port*cough.
