Seeing as how there's not a ton of RPGs for the Xbox like for the PS systems, I recently saw Lord of the Rings: The Third Age at a rather low price. Being a fan of the books, and the movies, as well as an RPG lover from way back, (Golvellius or Asprin in the Bathrobe pocket anyone?) I'm asking if this is worth it or am I going to be incredibly disappointed if I spend my 20 bucks?

I rented it and rather enjoyed it. I didn't think it was worth the $50 price tag at the time though. If you can get it for $20, I say go for it.

I agree with Amutt, it is a good solid game. For the most part, all of the LOTR games have been. As long as you are OK with turn based combat I would give it a shot.

YESSSSSSS we likes it, it is our preciousssss for $20.

it is a very addictive game and really pretty neat to be playing the same story line as the fellowship and in some cases like in Moria, you and your party are running along the bottom half and the fellowship is running along the top half, there is a point in the game where you come to rest a bit and you see this skeleton fall from the ceiling, then you hear Gandalf say "fool of a took, throw yourself in next time." from up above you.

the attention to small things like that are really pretty cool.
