I am tryin to get into Mournhold. i saw where someone said talk to a breton in the dukes castle at ebonheart, and i talked to everyone in there, but no boat? can i walk there, or can u help me out ?

Are you playing the regular Morrowind, or the Game of the year edition?
Yes it does, after he attacks you the sneak attack should be reported by a guard (It doesn't matter which guard, and it doesn't matter in which city) and you'll get a journal update telling you to look for a guy at Ebonheart, he's located near the bridge that takes to to the entrance of the Ebonhreat castle wearing armor different from regular guards, he'll tell you to look for a mage in a red dress who's located inside the Ebonheart castle who is located close to the entrance. That mage will teleport you to Mounrhold.
Ok heres the thing. I talk to a guard about the report, and he goes off on this lecture about oh, the dark brotherhood? they are all scum...blal blahblah and no journal entry pops up? whats the deal???
It must be a glitch because you're supposed to get a Journal update telling you to go to Ebonheart, and speak with Apelles Matius so he can tell you what to do. Sadly Morrowind for the Xbox has glitches that does this sometimes.
