I know I know but with HAZE and a few other titles coming out maybe I should buy one? I can get a decent deal on one but I just don't want it as a blue-ray player I want a gaming console. What do you think? I still have my doubts but now that more people have them maybe I can grill a hamburger and play HAZE at the same time?

LOL! I'm thinking the same, I want one, but I mainly want it as a cheap bloo rhey player. I'd upgrade to an HDTV first, Col. Then a PS3.

Col if you want one then go get one. Forget the 360! They're unreliable.

Why? Because..

They overheat and break down too easily.

I've never heard of any problems with the PS3.

You know what I'm going to say. Haze Demo is up,I went and reserved it today aftwards, it going to be a good one I think. remember Uncharted? It going to be adapted for the Big Screen.
One other incentive Indiana Jones on blu-ray, you know its coming.

actually there have been a few people with disc drive problems on the PS3, but its a very small percentage compared to the failure rate of the 360. I've had to send my 360 in 3 different times for repair, but at least I've had fun with it while its working. My ps3 on the other hand, may be the most reliable piece of high tech machinery ever created, that matters little if it gets used once a month,,or less.

I've got one Blair,,and by and large, it has not been used as a game console at all. The PSN is not that great, and has given me nothing but trouble,,and the games, well so far anyway have been pretty "meh", and have offered very little in the way of experiences that I can't get on my 360. Haze looks like it'll be fun, and the demo was enjoyable,,but after that, I don't see much to look forward to unless your a MGS fan, or if you really think Killzone 2 is going be the most amazing game ever created, all because of that fake gameplay trailer a few years ago. Mostly, I regret even having the thing, cheap BR player or not. If you're not even interested in it for that, I would say pass for now.

What's a Blu Ray headset? (I'm sure you meant Bluetooth).

I have one, has not seen much use besides as a Blu Ray player and to play Uncharted. Although I stopped since GTA 4 was released.

Been meaning to download the Haze demo. The only game I have is Resistance, and while it is nothing that will make you buy the console, it has been entertaining.

Besides that, I've been running Folding@Home at lot, might as well contribute with what I have.

I purchased a release unit, and I feel I wasted my money. However, I would definately consider buying one now if I didn't have one.

If it's a good deal and you have the means, I say, why not?

Give Resistance a chance, at least a rental. I've never been into the MGS saga, but I'm going to rent it just to try it and see if I enjoy it.

Besides those, I have not played anything else.
