Metal gear 4 is this Tuesday so I suspect its going to get more time then ever soon.
I've got a Logitech USB Webcam that seems to work ok. Even the built in mic works.

Haven't found anyone else online with a webcam yet though

Re: Should I Buy A PS3

I'll be getting a PS3 for the Bloo Rhey player one of these days, but the 360 has the better exclusives in my book. Not a Metal Gear fan, played it on the original Xbox and just could not get into it.

With Fable 2, Gears of War 2, and the exclusive DL content for GTA4 on the way, I really like the future of the 360 for my gaming needs. I have the HD DVD add on, we all know where that went, lol. I can always just download a movie in HD from the video marketplace if needed.

I've got a Wii, 2 360's, and am just waiting on the price of the PS3 to become accessible, then I'll take the plunge.

Re: Should I Buy A PS3

Gronar, this metal gear solid isn't really like the other games as far as play mechanics go....yes you can still be stealthy and the cut scenes are freaking looong, but the story is pretty damn good. I would say rent it and give it a go. Soy said the the price is going to drop any time this year, So pony up fan boy and just get a cheap 20 gig and just swap out that hard drive for a bigger one later.

Can one actually swap out the PS3's HD and put in a more capacious one then?

I know one can add an external USB drive.

It takes about 3-4 minutes 2 screws and all you need is the firmware burned onto a CDR or DVD.

Hmmm! And how does one do that I hesitate to ask?

I may be wrong of course, but doing that the way described sounds a tad "iffy" to me.

I suppose with the requisite technical know-how it should be be easy enough. Whipping a couple of screws out sounds easy enough but getting a copy of the firmware sounds difficult. Presumably the Firmware will need amending in some way? That in itself would boot me out.

Nothing iffy about it the instructions are in the booklet that comes with the PS3 and even where the hard drive is there is a sticker telling you how to remove the HD? As far as the firmware they have the URl in the book you go and download it and burn it to a DVD or CDR very simple really.
