It does feel like an interactive movie though. STILL...The actual game is Fun and I have had some fun with the online play as well.

I can only say... wow.
This is an excellent game, it may not be perfect, but those small things are quickly overcome after seeing the whole picture.
I have personally not finished a game in a while, I usually abandon them in the middle because of lack of interest or because they are plain unplayable.
If you have a PS3, you NEED to play this game and finish it. May not be for everyone, I thought I'd hate it... but I'm just astonished as how much I enjoyed it.
BTW, if anyone has not played the previous games... this is a very cool 6-chapter retrospective: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/674...FeaturesAnchor
Better stop posting before I have the urge of start discussing the game spoil for other... hehehe!

I have only played team death match and some games I immediately respawn and some I have to wait until the match is over. I have noticed that it is set up like counter strike in that you buy your weapons at the beginning, and I am guessing that both teams only have so many spawns so that when you use them up, you have to sit out the rest of the game. I need to play the other variants to really give a good opinion.
You have to sign up with konami and make a game I.D and a game I.D, its a little frustrating to get going.

Then you set up your character, not many customizable options there either, but not bad. After all that process I just turned the PS3 off.
I have read on comments left by users on reviews that Metal Gear Online sucked.... but I don't know first-hand yet though.

Or 4 more or something like that,,didn't catch the specifics of its. I'm still contemplating this one, I went to gametrailers and watched the retrospective,,,which reminded me of why I loved the first MGS game so much, but also why I didn't play more than about 20 minutes of the second one...and it also left me even more confused about what the hell the story is about than ever hehe. Gonna d/l the "MGS database" on PSN later and check that out,,still planning on renting, but might give in and buy it if my interest finds something more to feed its energy.

Not that it matters though, the only thing you can change are the way the character looks and the type of voice.
I downloaded the DB too... seems pretty cool.

I don't see the advantage of creating another character for online play though and I would not pay for it.

Also picked up the MGS essential collection since they had it, figure I may as well learn the story the old fashioned way instead of trying fit the pieces of the puzzle together hehe.
the sign up process for the multiplayer sounds like a severe pain the *** to me,,dunno if I'll bother with it any or not.
