Posts: 2,585 | Re: Nintendo Wii The wife got home with the Wii Sunday evening and I had it out of the box and set up with complete with it finding the Wi-fi signal and updates in under 10 minutes, we popped in the Sport disk and was playing bowling and baseball with out having to adjust to the control scheme at all. It is really simple and I can say that this will be a fun family machine. Now as far as graphics go? yeah it is just a fancy gamecube right now. I haven't popped in Zelda yet....I will later. My impression so far is...its fun...its new.....its a novelty that I am afraid is going to were off soon but thats why I also have a 360 to turn to. I like the fact that we can download a whole library full of games on the wii and still play our gamecube games and use our game cube memory cards on the wii. GeN do you know if we can use the gamecube Wave birds on the wii? | |

This is my Wii Friend Code (I wish we could create our own, like a GamerTag): 7569 0322 8786 2405
Add me, I'm lonely. I'll also need yours too. Incase you don't know how, you find it by clicking the mail icon on the bottom right of the main screen, then "compose mail" on the bottom left, click "address book" on the far right, and it'll tell you the 16 digit number. Quote:

Like most of the reviews have said, it's glitchy, buggy, and sometimes the sword swipses don't register in game. It was the first entry though, I'm sure if they have plans to do a sequel they'll learn from their mistakes. Sadly hit or miss games like this may be common this early in the Wii's life. There hasn't been a controller like it before.

Waffle irons are completely overrated. A PS3 grill you say? Now you're talking. Well a working one finally arrived care of some anti-PS3 blokes who gutted a 20GB unit and inserted a sizzling griddle turning the $500 machine into a console cooking monstrosity. The thing even slants left for proper grease drainage. Premium indeed! After Playing Zelda Last night, I must say it was good to put in a game and instantly feel right at home in it. Zelda Twilight Princess has the Feel of Occarina of time and the combat and camera system of Wind waker, this game is comfortable and familier from the get go and if your a fan of Zelda, this should be your first Wii game. Its worth the price of admission and is THE top reason I even Purchased a Wii with the wife being a second...ahem......

It's targeted at the casual, non-gaming demographic to make it somehow more appealing. It's not going to revolutionize how we play games by any means just like the Power Glove failed to last. It's a cute novelty to be sure, but nothing monumental that will forever change the industry.
