Batman: The Dark Knight

I went to see this at midnight and it was sold out of course, but the mind boggling thing was it sold out at every theater showing it in and around Austin. Now folks, Austin is the capital of Texas, its not small.
The theater I went to had 3 screens showing it, The cinemark down the road had 6 screens and the regal theater had 6 screens and were showing Batman as late or early as 6AM YES THATS 6AM.
Imax is sold out all though next week and the other 4 theaters in our area were sold out.

I did manage to get tickets for the 940 showing earlier last night and Boy is does not disappoint. This Movie is a dark and brooding movie, its shocking and I will suspect for some, its going to even be scary.
THIS is what Batman is about, who he is and how dark he has to go to deal with the Joker....and the Joker ain't playin folks, he's not nice, he does exactly what he says he is going to do and although funny at times, The reaction from the folks around me was more of a nervous laugh if you know what I mean.
Is Heath Oscar worthy in this? I don't think so and I bet if Heath would not have died, him and old Oscar would not even be brought up.

Does he surpass Jack nicholsons Joker? yes he does in every way, but the Joker in this is a real person, he is what the joker would look and act like if he were a real person in the real world.
This Movie clocks in at close to 3 hours and it is worth every minute of it. I am kind of numb from what I just saw and my brain is still trying to process all the stuff I just seen. This is the best movie of the year so far and I really don't see any thing coming thats going to change that this year either.
GO see this movie guys and gals just as soon as you can get a ticket.

You're absolutely right in every way.

I saw it at midnight (every theatre in town was sold out here as well. I pre-ordered online thank God). All I can say was that it was amazing. The Joker (and Heath Ledger's performance) really made this movie. All I could say the whole time was "more Joker!" Words can't describe how awesome and authentic his performance was. I'll admit I had my doubts when they first announced him as Joker a few years back, but Jack Nicholson has nothing on Ledger.

As for the rest of the movie, the first 30-45 minutes was kinda confusing, but after that it picked up and the story started coming together (although I still felt it was a little scattered). I'll also admit that I think it dragged on a LITTLE too long, but I'm not complaining. More Joker!

All in all, I give it a 10/10. I'm going to go see it again in IMAX this time, and I'll be buying ito n DVD when it comes out!

This is the movie of the year. I looked at all of the movies that are coming out later this year and nothing is going to touch this. The only movie that even comes close to touching this movie is Iron Man. I also went to the midnight showing and it was packed. They had six showings and all but two had sold out when I got there. I pre-ordered mine, otherwise I doubt I would of had a guaranteed seat.

I was very unsure how they would be able to pull off a sequel that would be better than the original. Batman Begins was so good it was just hard to have huge expectations for this movie to be better. Let me tell you this movie is not only the best Batman movie made, it is the best superhero movie that has ever been made. This is what the Batman franchise should have been all along! Let me first start off by saying that Heath Ledger stole the show in this movie. Which when you really think about it is incredible when you look at the cast. Mark Hamill's version of the Joker in the cartoon series was the only time until now that I thought they really portrayed what the character should act and sound like. Health pulled the character off to perfection, and I don't think people really realize how hard that is to do. I for one believe that Health should at least be up for best supporting actor at this years Academy Awards. I am also realistic and know this won't happen because the Academy has no clue what real talent is and hasn't for years.

This movie delivers in every way, and was worth every penny. That is something that I can't say too often anymore. This is the only movie I can see this year getting a perfect score out of me, something that I never give out. 10/10

Just saw it for a second time in IMAX and I noticed things that I missed the first time and understood some things better.

Just as good, if not better, than seeing it for the first time! Joker is still AWESOME!
