Lack Of Good RPG's On Xbox

Pole-Playing Games are an excellent genre, captivating and enjoyable. But there is simply a chronic lack of (good) quality RPG's on Xbox. The only good ones I can think of are Morrowind (GOTY Edition), Star Wars: KOTOR (an unquestionably fantastic game...), and (from what I have heard and seen) Fable. Anyone have any comments?

Quite often a number of high quality RPGs go forgotten into the mists. Arx Fatalis was awesome, particularly if you're an Ultima Underworld style player and Gladius was also really good (if you're into strategy RPGs). If you're into action RPGs then there's Sudeki (which admittedly wasn't very good), Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance I&II (which were), Fallout Brotherhood of Steel (so-so) and D&D Heroes (which needed a bit of work). There are also some RPG elements found in Deus Ex: Invisible War, Dynasty Warriors 4 and Samurai Warriors.

There's also X-men Legends, but I haven't got that yet, so I can't speculate.

While some of these games are quite good, most of them (e.g. Arx Fatalis) demanded that you be really into that type of RPG. Plus, I heard that Arx only scored a 5.1 or something in the Official Australian Xbox Magazine. And you're definitely right about Dungeons and Dragons: it could've worked, but it needed some drubbing up...

Not really RPGs, but Deus Ex: Invisible War and Silent Hill 4: The Room are good adventure games.

It also got an 8.1 from Gamespot. Regardless, I played it and thought it was good. Therefore, by my standards it's a good RPG on the Xbox.

Only RPG Ive played through is KoToR, and thats only because I'm very much into Star Wars, albeit I've heard very good things about Fable, and Sudeki was rather interesting, RPGs, by and large, just aren't my thing, so I've not really noticed the lack of them on xbox, but we've heard plenty about on these boards in the last year hehe.

side note, I thought X-men Legends was RPGish? Its gotten some fairly high ratings so far, and I'm planning to pick it up and add it to the list *think it got seriously over-shadowed by Fable though

From what I hear Crimson Sea is a good RPG that went unnoticed. RPGs aren't as numerous as other genres, but Xbox's RPG library is growing, and continues with LOTR The Third Age, Jade Empire and KOTOR II coming out relatively soon.

Xbox doesn't have RPG's that are good. Ps2 owns that category.
