I have quite a few soundtracks as well and I've never experienced any problems, nor have I heard of anyone ever experiencing problems. You have like, 50,000+ blocks of memory, and I think I remember in an interview saying that you could never use up that much in the life of the Xbox.

Just to echo the previous...

I only have nine different soundtrack but, all of them have at least 60 (one has 120) songs. No slowdown or adverse effects to any games. Only my suckky skills hurt my gameplay.

Re: will lots of music files effect perfomance

Music shouldnt affect anything. the Music is stored on the harddrive, however the games are completely ran off disk, You can fill the harddrive completely up and will still be able to run games, It should have to affect what so ever on gameplay (Xbox1 500+ songs) (Xbox2 900+songs)
