Play Tag For Prizes With Xbox Canada

You can call it smart marketing, an invitation to spam your friends, or just plain silly, but starting tomorrow, April 15, Xbox is inviting Canada to a game of tag that they're hoping will entice a whole bunch of Canadians to check out what the Xbox has to offer, while giving away a few wicked prizes.

To enter, all you have to do is head over to www.xbox.com/tag and register for the virtual tag contest. When you sign up, you can then "tag" up to 10 friends per day, and the more people you tag, the more entries you'll have in the contest. You don't have to own an Xbox to enter, just access to the Xbox website.

Every day new prizes will be handed out, but each winner will get a limited edition Xbox that includes games and other add-ons. Each Xbox package ranges in value from $385 to $465 and come in various themes, including a movie package, a Splinter Cell package, and even a Shrek 2 bundle.

"Canadians have embraced Xbox and Xbox Live in record numbers, and one way we can say thank you is by offering the coolest contests and the best giveaways," said Jason Anderson, Group Marketing Manager for Xbox Canada. "For Canadians who aren't into console games yet, this program helps us demonstrate that it's always good to play together, whether it's at home on an Xbox or online with Xbox Tag."
