Shane Kim,acting chief of MS Game Studios.
When I was growing up, the prognosticators said there would be flying cars by
the year 2000. Well, it's four damn years later and we're still earth bound.
The same situation holds true for xbox. Some of the promises & expectations
have yet to be met. To wit; RPG's
Yeah, yeah, I know...Morrowind. If you're a fan of PC- style rpg's, your appetite
has been somewhat staisfied. K.O.T.O.R? A great game to be sure. Fable ? I'll
let you know as soon as I get Xbox 2.
What about fan's of Japanese style r.p.g.'s? Where is our game? You mean to tell
me games like Skies of Arcadia:Legends, can't be ported over to our beloved Xbox?
Grandia, Star Ocean, Legend of legaia are titles just screaming for the Xbox treatment.
Green light a couple of these titles will ya' Microsoft? MUSIC IS MY LIFE
Another title that seems perfectly suited for the black & green beauty is MTV Music
Generator 2. Imagine creating your own tunes, (in glorious 5.1 dolby no less) saving it
to your harddrive and then, ripping them into a game like Project Gotham Racing 2. Tie
in some connectivity to the Xbox music mixer and being able to send/trade those songs
with friends over XBL! Sweet! COME FLY WITH ME
While I'm begging, Can we have an air combat game? Don't get me wrong, Crimson
Skies is awesome but, my top gun fantasies cry out for a F-18 Hornet. I have a need
to do a bombing run on a enemy stronghold. I have a need to shoot down some poor
sap flying a Mig 21. I have a need... A NEED FOR SPEED! (Sorry... I got carried away.)
So while we're all waiting for our flying automobiles, maybe a couple of these games will
ease the pain of waiting. How about it?

Literally, how long would any fps, racing, or almost any other genre last without ONLINE MULTIPLAYER? Not very long, once you beat the game, your the best, theres no competition. BUT, in the world of online, with stats, your not always THE BEST, theres always some1 who is a little bit better on a certain level, so what do you do? You compete, adds TONS OF EXTRA hours of gameplay, no questions asked.
Online Gameplay will be a must, infact, there is very few games I buy now that DON'T come with Xbox Live. (Only exception is games that have a REALLY good storyline (RPGS), and multiple endings.
We need more RPG's! M$ needs to get a contract going with Squaresoft ASAP!!!!
Cheers,
~Kain

And it would be great to get a deal going with Square for RPGs etc.
The xbox does need more of them. I believe if xbox got more rpgs, then they would have better sales over in japan.
