Penny trick

I'm sure everyone here has heard of this, and I don't know where else to turn. So I did a successful penny trick on my dead 360, and what appeared to be great news, it worked and played just like old times. However, 5 minutes into playing the Xbox gave me the 2 lights indicating an overheating problem.

I'm not sure why it would do this, since the fan was placed correctly. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. If I posted this in the wrong spot or just shouldn't have posted it at all, I'm sorry. But as I said before I have no idea where else to turn, and I just want what we all want, to play 360. Thanks.

It's funny. It's funny in two ways actually. In one way that I figured this out by myself a while ago, and also in the fact that this has been up for more than 2 weeks and while almost 250 people have looked at it, not even one person had the decency to even say "Sorry, you posted this in the wrong spot." or even a total neanderthal-like "I dunno."

Haha, don't be so hostile, most of those views are from unregistered guests. If they're not going to register, they're not going to tell you it was in the wrong section. I don't even know what this penny trick is, so I can't help ya, sorry.

I've had that happen before, all i did to fix it was remove all the pennies, and reattached them all, making sure they were sticking to the full surface of the chips, and just made sure it was all perfect.
and it helped.

You might also need a xclamp replacement if you've already tried that.
