Electric Cars: Samsung and Bosch to put $409 million into SB LiMotive battery plant

I've been following the growing interest in electric cars lately. Recently, nearly every major auto maker in the world has announced plans to begin producing electric cars. The biggest thing holding back electric cars has always been the expense of the batteries. Now there are several companies building factories to crank out these batteries in mass production which will bring down costs greatly.

I just saw this post and was kinda floored that they are going to spend almost a half a billion dollars on their plant to make electric car batteries. Samsung and Bosch to put $409 million into SB LiMotive battery plant

The problem I have with the current Electric Hybrid cars are 2
1) Power, sure these cars are awesome if somewhat expensive for city dwellers, but there are a lot of us who live outside the city in Hill country.

2) whats up with the price of these hybrids? they want us to pay over the top prices and say well you pay more but look what you save on gas over time? really?
there are a lot of us out there who can barely afford a 12,000 dollars car with 400 dollars a month payments.

Make these cars very affordable to the masses People.

I hate when stores say the same thing, we have a grocery store Here In lago vista that marks up there products by as much as 2 dollars over what you could get at walmart and they say its because you save gas by not going to walmart when you need something. HUH? I just spent that money I would save buying your over priced product stupid. I don't get that kind of mentality.
