Gladius is really good, if you like the FF tactics style of gameplay. The box art is unfortunate, but the game content is highly original. Arx Fatalis is a Morrowind style game, that while lacking the size of Morrowind is far better scripted (as in, every scenario type thing, there are a large number of paths to succed,) and had the kickest assest Magic System I have ever seen in a video game (in order to cast spells you must trace runes of power in the air using the Dpad, you can queue up to 5 spells this way at a time).
My advice for the Morrowind GOTY is to track down the PC version, it looks prettier, runs smoother has an awesome community that use the bundled editor to make kickass mods, classes and add areas to the game, etc. Not to mention Bethesda actually care about the PC version and relese bug fixing patches. The Xbox is still stuck at initial release (for morrowind) and Bloodmoon release (for the GOTY edition). |
